The Spanish program at St. Wenceslaus Catholic School introduces students to language learning through engaging, interactive, and culturally rich instruction. The program focuses on developing foundational skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while building confidence in pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. Students are exposed to a wide variety of instructional strategies, including technology-based activities, music, videos, visual supports, and hands-on learning experiences that accommodate diverse learning styles.
Cultural and faith-based connections are an integral part of the Spanish curriculum. Students learn prayers in Spanish, explore traditions and celebrations, and make meaningful connections between language, culture, and Catholic identity. As students progress through the program, they gain the skills and confidence needed for high school Spanish while developing a positive attitude toward language learning. The Spanish program fosters curiosity, global awareness, and appreciation for cultural diversity, preparing students to communicate and engage thoughtfully in an increasingly interconnected world.
