Computer Lab

Mr. Matt Shafer
Computer Lab Teacher

The Computer Lab at St. Wenceslaus Catholic School provides students with meaningful, hands-on experiences that build strong technology foundations and critical thinking skills. Through STREAM-based instruction, students engage in a progressive coding curriculum using programs such as CODE.org, allowing them to develop problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and creativity in a structured and age-appropriate way. In addition to coding, students learn essential keyboarding skills, practice responsible digital citizenship, and gain an understanding of internet safety to help them navigate the online world with confidence and integrity.

As students move through the grade levels, technology instruction becomes increasingly challenging, ensuring steady growth and continued engagement. The Computer Lab supports classroom learning across disciplines while preparing students with skills that are vital for academic success in middle school, high school, and beyond. This program empowers students to become confident, capable users of technology who are ready to meet the demands of a rapidly changing digital world.
