Discerning Priesthood
Thinking About The Priesthood?
Discerning the priesthood can be exciting and daunting, just as it was for the apostles when they were called by Jesus Christ to leave everything they had to follow him. Your openness to God’s will in your life is already a beautiful response to the Lord. God made us, and, as he says in Jeremiah 29:11, “I know well the plans I have in mind for you – plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.” Following God’s will for your life will bring you fulfillment and salvation, and God will use your witness for the salvation of others.
As you discern whether you are called to the priesthood, the priests at St. Wenceslaus are happy to help you! Please reach out to any one of them (see here) for spiritual guidance. If you are interested in the possibility of a small group for priestly discernment, reach out to Fr. Tobias Letak at frtobias@stwenceslaus.org or (402) 991-3021 for more information.
Check out the Archdiocese of Omaha’s Vocations website for even more discernment resources!
