Strategic Planning
Process & Overview
The members of the St. Wenceslaus School Board began this process in July of 2024 to guide the decisions of the board in a strategic and meaningful direction. The process began with a survey of the current school faculty, staff, and parents. This initial survey surfaced five areas of focus which became the pillars that now support the aspirations and goals of this current plan.
In the spring of 2025, the school board conducted a second survey, based on these five pillars to further define areas for strength and improvement in each of these key components. Based on the results of the second survey the school board identified both aspirational statements and members of the school community willing to craft goals and action plans for each pillar.
Mission Statement
St. Wenceslaus Catholic School partners with families to enrich students in the Catholic faith through encounters with Jesus Christ and promotes academic excellence, responsibility to self, and service to others.
Data Review and Analysis
In developing the St. Wenceslaus Catholic School Strategic Plan (2025–2030), multiple sources of data were reviewed and analyzed to ensure decisions were informed, equitable, and responsive to student needs.
Data sources included:
Student academic performance data, including assessment results and measures of yearly academic growth
Enrollment and demographic data to understand trends within the student population
School climate data gathered through surveys of faculty, staff, and parents
Feedback from parish and school leadership regarding student preparedness and long-term outcomes
This data informed the identification of strengths, areas for growth, and priorities reflected in the five pillars and associated goals. The review of multiple data points ensured that the improvement plan supports quality learning, accountability, and the success of all students.
Academic Goal (Overarching):
Ensure high levels of academic growth and achievement for every student through rigorous, faith-centered instruction that meets diverse learning needs.
Monitoring &
Evaluating Progress
Progress toward the goals outlined in this Strategic Plan will be monitored and evaluated on an ongoing basis throughout the 2025–2030 planning cycle.
School leadership and designated pillar teams will review progress toward goals annually using relevant data, including student achievement results, program implementation feedback, and stakeholder input.
Findings from these reviews will be shared with the School Board and used to:
Celebrate areas of success
Identify areas needing adjustment or additional support
Refine strategies to ensure continued improvement in student performance and school effectiveness
This process ensures the Strategic Plan remains a living document that supports continuous improvement and accountability.
