A Fun Event for the Whole Family
Wednesday, October 24, 2018
6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
St. Wenceslaus Parking Lot
The St. Wenceslaus Trunk or Treat team would like to invite your group to come join the fun and show off your ministry at the St. Wenceslaus Trunk or Treat. Your participation will help make this a successful family event. Please note we are outside again this year. Please email me back or call me at 402-991-3126 to sign up and reserve your parking space.
This is how your group can participate:
Decorate a vehicle trunk in a fun theme! You have the option of decorating in a Halloween theme or another idea you choose, for example Huskers, Candy Land, a favorite cartoon character, or turn your VW into a giant bug. Stay away from decorations that might scare our youngest parishioners. Dress in costume if you would like, and hand out candy from the back of your vehicle. You may also set up a quick game for the children to play. We want you to have fun and show off your ministry!
In the past Trunk or Treat was promoted as a ministry fair. You are still welcome to share information about your organization with the adults by handing out brochures and flyers. We believe this event is a great way to build awareness of your organization with the younger families in our parish. It also gives you the opportunity to give to the community.
Please bring whatever you need for your displays to fit within two parking stalls; chairs, tables, games, candy. We will not have electricity available for your trunk because of safety concerns with extension cords. Plan to have enough candy for between 600 and 700 children.
Trunk or Treat cars will be in the upper three tiers of the parking lot on the school side. Parking attendants will guide you to your spot. Please arrive on Wednesday, October 24th between 5 and 5:30 p.m. to set up. We will officially open at 6:00 p.m. Families will check in and start trick or treating at the third tier and work their way up to the circle drive where hot dogs, nachos, and lemonade (or hot cocoa, depending on weather) will be served.
