Heart Ministry Center
The Heart Ministry Center started nearly thirty years ago in response to increased requests in the North Omaha community seeking food, clothing, shelter, and financial assistance. The Center has always aimed to assist people needing life's most basic necessities.
The Center expanded and is providing healthcare services, developed a group mentoring program for at-risk youth, added free legal services, opened a dental clinic, and introduced social work and case management services to those who need it. Their motto is "We believe in the dignity of all." In 2018, the Center provided over 90,000 acts of assistance including: food for more than 1.2 million meals, clothing for more than 34,000 people, household/toiletry items for more than 4,000 people, medical assistance for more than 2,000 people, and social work and case management services for more than 2,200 people.
We are also doing a collection for the Heart Ministry Center. Items needed are baby diapers, any size, men or women's toiletries: shampoo, soap, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, and toothbrushes. You many drop off these items to the foyer starting August 17 thru August 31. Thank you for your generosity!
Our community thanks you and appreciates you!
