June Charity of the Month: Siena/Francis House

Founded in 1975, the Siena/Francis House is Nebraska’s largest homeless shelter providing food, emergency shelter, and clothing. The Siena/Francis House also houses a residential chemical addictions treatment center, an employment training program, and a medical clinic.

The Siena/Francis House has an “open door” policy, in that they try to never turn away any individual who comes to them in need, regardless of the circumstances that led them to seek their help. This organization is independent, non-denominational and provides more shelter and food to the homeless than any other Omaha homeless shelter. All of their services are provided at no cost to their guests.
