Saint Wenceslaus has begun a capital campaign to expand our church facility to meet the growing needs of the parish.

The Capital Campaign addresses three areas of renovation:

blank 1) Improvements to the church space
2) Reconstructing existing rectory into meeting and office spaces
3) Acquiring an off-site rectory for the priests

These projects are a need and not a want.

25 years of heavy daily use, as well as repeated water damage from years of a leaking roof, have made improvements necessary. Space is also at a premium due to the addition of a pre-school and full day Kindergarten.

Here are a few statistics: Over half a million people use the church and school during the year, and we want to use it in the right way. The parish was built for 800 families, but now we have 2700 families, which translates into 10,000 people.

Generous giving can make these renovations a reality. We all have a personal responsibility to save our church from disrepair. Our donations will afford visitors to our parish for Masses, weddings, funerals and other events more beautiful and comfortable place to connect with God and fellow parishioners. This is our church, our home, and we all have a responsibility to maintain it.

Financial giving, especially at this time, will not be easy for many of us. But we now have an opportunity to be good stewards of our resources and renew ownership in our parish. This takes financial discipline and effort. This campaign will be over in a few short weeks, so please search your heart so we may get started on these worthy projects.
