What is Perpetual Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration is an expression of our love for Jesus, who loves us so much that He never wants to leave us and so stays with us day and night in the Blessed Sacrament.

“Behold I am with you always,” because “I have loved you with an everlasting love, and constant is my affection for you.” Matthew 28:20; Jeremiah 31:3

Parishioners keep the vigil of perpetual adoration before Our Lord Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, spending one hour of prayer at a time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Church is also open to everyone for personal prayer at any time.

The Holy Eucharist that was consecrated at Mass is reserved in the Tabernacle on the altar. Under the appearance of bread, the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ are really, truly, substantially present for nourishment of our souls and as a living sacrifice.

“I myself am the living Bread come down from heaven.” John 6:35

What are the benefits of Perpetual Adoration?
An increased reception and reverence of the Holy Eucharist.
Strengthening of faith, hope, love and holiness of life.
Personal joy and strength, and an experience of community.
An increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

Who may participate?
Adoration is available for any adult. Children are encouraged to accompany their parents in order to grow in a relationship with Jesus.

Must certain prayers be said during the hour?
There are many different ways to pray. People may pray the rosary, read from Scripture, meditate, pray formal prayers, speak to God from the heart, or sit quietly in the presence of God while listening to the inner promptings of God.
