Parent Handbook

General Information- Contains information on attendance, weather, progress reports and
discipline.
Registration- Includes the necessary forms needed to register for classes, stewardship and the parish.
Sunday School- Includes all information relevant to the program including registration forms.
Sacramental Preparation- Includes information for First Grade and those receiving the sacrament in May 2006.
Confirmation- Includes information and forms for Level I Confirmation (7th Grade) and for Confirmation 2006 information.
Catechist Help Links- Designed for our teachers and includes office forms, etc.
Vacation Bible School(VBS) - Information will be added as the time grows closer.

General Information

Attendance- Call 330-1889 if your child will not be attending class. The safety of our children is of the utmost importance to us.

  • A call before the start of class, will avoid a call from the office staff.
  • All parents of absent students will be called.
  • If your child leaves early, a written request must be given to the OFFICE (not the teacher) and you must pick your child up INSIDE.

Nuisance Items- Those items which may cause disruptions during class and include, but not limited to: backpacks, hats, electronic items, cell phones. These items must be left in the office or at home.

Visitors- All visitors must sign in at the office and wear a "VISITOR" name tag. Due to liability, non-registered students are prohibited
from attending classes.

INCLEMENT WEATHER- The Catechetic Program will follow the decisions made by Millard Public Schools. If classes are canceled for the day or close early, no Catechetic classes will be held.
Check KFAB (1110 AM) and Mix 96 (96.1 FM) radio or local TV stations for up to date school closings.

DISCIPLINE- If the situation cannot be handled by the teacher, the student will be sent to the Director with a written report. Students will remain in the Director's office for the remainder of the class time and a written report mailed home.
Second offense:
Director will call the parents.
Third Offense:
Student will be unable to attend class without a parent present.
